The Painting’s Story:

I experimented with liquid graphite and coarse sea salt on paper, and that’s how the background came to be! I loved the fluid nature and texture. I thought color would be an interesting contrast. Sketched out an outline of the flower and then covered in acrylic gesso. Then I painted with oils over the gesso to create the flower. I love the contrast of all of these together!

Shipping: This artwork is currently on display at Lindenwood Unversity with Heartland Art Club’s Signature Membership Show through March 17, 2024. The artwork will be available for pick up at the gallery on March 18; or delivery or mailing may be set up after purchase. Unfortunately, the artwork must hang the entirety of the show and will not be available to receive prior to the date stated.
