The Painting’s Story:
I experimented with liquid graphite and coarse sea salt on paper, and that’s how the background came to be! I loved the fluid nature and texture. I thought color would be an interesting contrast. Sketched out an outline of the flower and then covered in acrylic gesso. Then I painted with oils over the gesso to create the flower. I love the contrast of all of these together!
